In this fully hands-on workshop, students help a fictional baby elephant
called “Tiny” find her best friend hidden in a dark cave.

Students in small groups learn to design a simple electrical circuit that
powers up a light bulb to a battery through step-by-step process.  Once
they light up the bulb, Tiny is able to find her friend.

What do students learn in this workshop?
Basics of electricity
Voltage, current and resistance and how to measure them
Ohm’s law (relationship between voltage/current/resistance)
Concept of electric components and circuits
How to design a circuit so that the light bulb doesn’t blow up or
is not too dim when powered up (application of Ohm’s law).

Workshop #1: Help Tiny light up the cave (Basic Electricity).
